Michaela Böttner

Manager, HCCH, Heidelberg University

Michaela Böttner studied political science, sociology, and public law at the Universities of Heidelberg and Bologna. Since 2013, she has spent 50% of her working time as manager of the Heidelberg Center for Cultural Heritage (HCCH) at Heidelberg University. From 2014 to 2019, she also worked as a consultant at the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and Art and was responsible for an initiative to strengthen minor subjects at Universities in Baden-Württemberg. From 2019 to 2024, she was managing director of the Flagship-Initiative Transforming Cultural Heritage. Her (research) activities focus on the areas of cultural heritage studies, science management, and science communication.
