Curriculum
The master programme cultivates a rigorous and imaginative understanding of landscape and heritage as active fields of design inquiry. It invites students not only to analyse and document the past, but to reinterpret and project it forward—transforming sites of memory into spaces of dialogue, critical awareness, and future possibility, where design and critical thinking become powerful mediums for negotiating the relationship between history, identity and contemporary life.
Semesters
Semester 1
At the outset of the programme, students will take a combination of compulsory and elective modules at NTUA.
Semester 2
In the second semester, students move to UHD and attend compulsory modules and one elective, in parallel with two short-term seminars led by invited scholars from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and Cornell University.
Semester 3
In the third semester, students will attend one compulsory module at NTUA and two short-term seminars led by invited scholars from the University of Coimbra and ICOMOS USA. A traineeship will also be carried out at “Minoan Koumasa” in Crete.
Semester 4
In the fourth semester, students will undertake their Master Thesis, building on the seminar in research methodology.
